VEGAN COOKIES AND CREAM ICE CREAM FLOAT
Written by Just Water
Fun fact: Oreos are considered the most popular cookie in America. Fun fact number 2: Oreos are vegan! Who'd have guessed these creamy little bite-sized sandwich cookies are plant-based-friendly?
Unfortunately, just because the recipe skips out on animal products doesn't mean we'd find them on a detox diet plan. So what's a sweet tooth-meets-health freak to do? Healthify!
We've whipped up this rich and creamy Oreo-inspired Cookies and Cream Ice Cream Float to curb our cravings while keeping us in line with our nutrition goals. The best part? Not only is this shake completely vegan, but it packs in a host of antioxidant-rich superfoods to kick the wellness factor up a notch.
And with that, enough chit-chat—let's get (vegan) shakin'!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup coconut, soy, oat milk, or almond vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup Original Bubbles
- 1/4 cup oat milk
- 1 tablespoon oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon black cocoa powder
- ¼ cup cacao nibs
Instructions:
- Choose a tall, clear glass to showcase your float. Chill it in the freezer for a few minutes for an extra frosty touch!
- In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, almond milk, almond butter, oats, and black cocoa powder. Blend until smooth and creamy, creating a unique base for your float. Then add in half of the cacao nibs.
- Add a generous scoop of the blended mixture to the bottom of your chilled glass. Then, slowly pour the Original Bubbles over the top.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cacao nibs on top.
- Grab a spoon or a straw, serve, sip, and enjoy!
