This recipe is BANANAS, B-A N-A N-A S! Simple, scrumptious, and sparkly (thanks to a subtly bubbly little secret ingredient), these 3 bombastic baked goods are about to blow granny's family recipe out of the water (please don't tell her we said that).

Let's jump in lickity-split, as in, banana split.

Classic Banana Bread with Original Bubbles

What You'll Need...

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (the riper, the better!)
  • 1/2 Original Bubbles
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (you can use less if you’re feeling virtuous)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips and/or 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

What You'll Do...

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash those ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Then, add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  4. Add the flour and mix until just incorporated. If you’re feeling fancy, fold in the dark chocolate chips and walnuts for that extra crunch and sweetness!
  5. Pour in 1/2 cup of Original Bubbles to add some delightful fizz to your banana bread batter.
  6. Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let it cool, slice, and enjoy!
